I’ve reupholstered this chair in this fun fabric with raised velvet colour pattern.
I was inspired to use the Annie Sloan two colour distress method, painting with Florence first and then Firle.

Take on orange pine bureau....
A can of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, on a pretty hot day and you have a super fast makeover!
Started by painting part of the inside in Annie Sloan Firle, then got to work on the body with Annie Sloan Graphite.
One of the things I have always loved about this paint is how fast you can work & see progress.
This was less than an hour or so work today.
As it was so warm, the paint was drying from side side of the bureau to the other.
I had intended on building up layers of colours on the body but actually am liking the striking simplicity.
What would you do with the pull out drawer or too finish?

We’ve been continuing our deep clean today and started to re-merchandising some of our displays.
We’re loving these themed pieces, especially the coastal mugs from @toasted_crumpet and the delightful print cushions.

When in doubt, paint!
Lots to do to get the shop prepared for re-opening for Personal Shopping experiences, but we got distracted by tins of paint & decided to give our lobby area a new makeover. Much more fulfilling than sticking “keep your distance” signs all of the shop!
Firstly, the windowsills are being repainted, with Annie Sloan Original & sealed with Matt Lacquer.
We are also giving a very ugly, grey veneer branded merchandising shelf unit a much more uplifting look too, in the beautiful bright Napoleonic Blue. This unit will be part of our new window features of the future, so not revealing too much, so a nice surprise for when you next visit - we hope that will be soon!

George hard at work!
We are currently deep cleaning and re-merchandising ready to open our doors, initially for our private shopping experiences.
We will soon be letting you book your time slots to come and browse the shop, with have sole access or bring up to two friends with you.
Do let us know if you’d love to book a time slot.
We’re will also be increasing our order pick up collection times, making them more regular in the next week or so too.
